The fire happened during the evening of Wednesday, June 7 at the Teatown Lake Reservation in Ossining, according to the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department.

An original report of smoke in the building led to crews responding to a building on the reservation. Once there, firefighters discovered a fire that had started in the attic and were able to extinguish it and overhaul the area after a little more than an hour.

Luckily, none of the animals housed in the building were harmed by the fire, the department reported.
